Last year, WHF launched a global study to better understand the relationship between cardiovascular disease and COVID-19. Almost 3,000 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 have been recruited from almost 40 sites in 20 Countries (Argentina, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ghana, Georgia, India, Iran, Japan, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Portugal, South Africa, Sudan, Switzerland, United States of America and Zambia). Recruitment will continue until the third quarter of this year. The methods paper was published in Global Heart Journal this week and the full results will be presented by the end of the year.
